Brand new Petticrows Dragons take first and
second place in the Melbourne World Championship
The new World Champions Lawrie Smith, Ossie Stewart and
Tim Tavinor snatched victory in the final race from Marcus
Weiser’s team in Bunker Queen by the slenderest of margins.
The UK team managed to take a place on the finish line of
the final race enabling them to tie on points with Wieser
and take the championship on count back.
Tim Tavinor the Director of Petticrows, was doubly pleased
as the first two placed boats were sent to Melbourne straight
off the production line and had never been sailed prior to
arriving in Melbourne.
