PRIMO CUP 2009
Primo Cup 2009 was well supported in its 25th year of the
event. 13 Nationalities and 43 teams took part in the Dragon
Class.
With its dedicated race area and expert race management headed
by Tony O’ Gorman it was a pity the wind could not have
been steadier and more races finished. Tony and his team could
not have done more; sometimes the conditions are just against
you.
With
consistent results at the head of the fleet congratulations
for the overall victory go to RUS 27 ANNAPURNA LOGINOV Anatoly,
SHALAGIN Alexander and KIRILYUK Andrey
Also consistent in their new “ out of the box”
Petticrow were the Danish team of MEN AT WORK DEN 393
CHRISTENSEN Jens, ANDERSEN Kim and JENSEN Lars
Jens has approval to test the all Spectra runners and backstay
recently passed by the IDA but rejected by ISAF. First comments
and feeling from Jens are positive. Something to check out
at the next races.
Chris Dicker from the UK in Kuling was a very close third
on the podium sailing with his son Mark and Arthur.
Most teams are now moving to Cannes for the Regattas International
in two weeks as preparation for the rest of the season.
