We often have contacts from yards wishing to associate with Petticrows and help develop their home Dragon fleet. Italy is one such growing fleet with their numbers developing greatly over the past few years. Their Riviera coast is close to the action in Southern France but the Italians are also keen to develop their own identity too. I had the pleasure to visit an exceptional yard in Imperia owned by Dragon sailor Mario Quaranta. Mario's standard of workmanship is extremely high, he specialises in wooden boats but can work with GRP too. Along with Paolo Giorgetti they are able to offer Dragon storage facilities and Petticrows Dragon service in Italy I can highly recommend their services particularly for wooden boat renovation and restoration.

Whilst Mario is busy in the boatyard, Paolo is currently trying to promote Dragon sailing in Italy and is actively seeking new locations for regattas and Dragon activities, arranging demonstrations of Petticrows Dragons and displaying boats in new venues.
