Jibs

The use of jibs has been piloted by the newly formed Antiguan fleet who sail largely in strong winds often with small or inexperienced Dragon crews. Sailors report boat handling and manoeuvrability is maintained using the smaller headsail and the new jibs are a welcome addition to their sail wardrobe.

A small and simple modification is required to sail using a jib, this is the a small length of track/block fixed to the deck to allow the jib sheets to pass through in a forward position. A fittings kit is available through our online shop.
