Fremantle Western Australia Worlds 2019

Fabulous blue skies and moderate to fresh breezes were testing conditions for both sailors and equipment at the 2019 World Championship in Fremantle.

A highly competitive fleet battled it out in perfect sailing conditions culminating with 4 boats in with a real chance of winning on the last day.

Final victory went to the well-polished Provezza Dragon team using their new v6 Dragon. This boat is the forerunner of our 2019  v6.1 model which includes new style internal and deck mouldings on our already well proven v6 hull, keel and rudder. The rig was the new Petticrows Evolution mast section; this has a new front weld taper for a nice smooth and even bend and totally modernised, easily serviced, low drag fit out.

Congratulation to Andy, Simon and Ali for a well-deserved second World Championship title.

The next three positions were taken by Louise (Grant Gordon), Fever (Klaus Diederichs) Y Red (Peter Gilmore) all of which sailed with v6 hulls, Klaus and Peter were also using the new Evolution mast while Grant had a John mast.

Meanwhile back at Petticrows in Burnham-on-Crouch the new v6.1 deck and internal moulds are now completed and full v6.1 production is now underway, so expect to see the new style boats on the circuit soon.
